Drumovi će poželjet ludaka – Vitomir Vito Nikolić

Drumovi će poželjet ludaka is a contemporary illustrated edition of poetry by Vitomir Vito Nikolić, one of Montenegro’s most beloved poets.

Published in 2025, the collection presents a carefully selected choice of 60 poems accompanied by 20 specially commissioned illustrations by Monika Lang. Across 120 pages, poetry and illustration are connected through signs of time, layers and fragments of life, creating an edition that preserves the authenticity of Vito’s verses while bringing them closer to new generations of readers.

The edition also features two original texts dedicated to Vito, his poetry and legacy – “Mozaik uspomena” by Danica Nikolić and “Kaleidoskop susreta” by Adrijana Husić. Personal memories, reflections on the poet and the desire to keep his poetry accessible to readers provide additional context for the collection and the story behind its creation.

Drumovi će poželjet ludaka is the first of two connected contemporary editions of Vito’s poetry. Together with Kletva, published in 2026, it forms a pair of collections presenting his poetic oeuvre through two distinct selections of poems.
